Frenectomy for Infants & Children

At our practice, we offer frenectomy treatment to help infants and children with tongue-tie or lip-tie. A frenectomy is a quick, gentle procedure that releases a tight frenum—the small piece of tissue under the tongue, upper or lower lip or under the cheeks—when it is restricting normal movement.

When a frenum is too tight, it can lead to challenges such as:

  • Difficulty breastfeeding or bottle-feeding
  • Poor latch or prolonged feeding times
  • Clicking sounds or milk leakage during feeding
  • Speech concerns as a child grows
  • Gaps between front teeth
  • Oral discomfort or limited tongue mobility

Our pediatric dentist uses safe, child-friendly techniques to perform the procedure with minimal discomfort and quick healing. Many families notice immediate improvement in feeding and overall function after treatment.

We are committed to providing compassionate care and guiding parents through every step — from evaluation, to the procedure, to post-treatment support.

If you have concerns about tongue-tie or lip-tie, we are here to help. Contact us to schedule an evaluation.
